Have you ever asked yourself this question: 

What does God want me to do with my life?

Interesting enough, God seems to be more interested in who we become more than what we do because doing flows out of being. Who we are determines what we do. 

God definitely has a plan for who you are to become. His plan is for us to become like His Son. This was His plan long before you and I came into existence. 

For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. - Romans 8:29 

That is the central idea behind our new series: ESSENTIALS: The “How-To’s” of Becoming Like Jesus starting this Sunday, September 1. God has a plan for us, and we will explore how we can partner with Him to experience all He has for us in life. This is the abundant life Jesus talked about. 

This season, this series will also be the basis for our Small Groups which will be built around a discussion and application for each week’s topic. In a sense, we will be truly helping each other become all that God created us to be. 

Our Goals for this Series: 

  • Be with Jesus
  • Become like Jesus
  • Do as Jesus did 

This week, we get everything started and then the following week, the week of September 8, Small Groups will launch out, bringing it all together.
