It’s almost time for Small Groups to start at Bridges! Small Groups have been part of our DNA from the very beginning, that place to find encouragement, community, and spiritual growth with other followers of Jesus and those seeking something more in life. 

Everyone needs a place to hear and be heard, to receive and to give to others, to live out their walk with Jesus with others on similar paths and to find answers without feeling pressure or judgment. 

This season of Small Groups, I sense that God is going to do some new things in our lives as a church. Some things may look a little different this season as we are being flexible and adapting to what we see as the best way to serve the body. There will be some new opportunities, and I am excited for what could happen as we “experiment” with some changes. 

Look for new things like Stephen Ministry Training, a new type of group where community will be formed around being equipped to help others through difficult times. This is a great opportunity to see God work through you in new ways and help bring hope to others through being trained in lay counseling. I can see God using this to impact many lives in the future. I trust that God is already moving in different ways to lead people to take part in this.   

ROOTED will be offered this fall, a great “on ramp” for those who are new to Small Groups and/or Bridges. ROOTED provides the opportunity to connect with God, the church community and your purpose in life changing ways. This is a Small Group that we want everyone at Bridges to go through. This is a "must" for all who call Bridges "home". 

Even as I write this, there are plans being made for a new Small Group experience to come this fall. All the details will come soon – so be on the lookout. I am excited just thinking about the possibilities this could bring to help people find community in a new setting. 

There’ll be some other Small Groups as well. There will be something for everyone. I can’t encourage you enough to take a step of faith and get involved. 

Sign ups start soon. Groups will start the week of September 11. Be in prayer. Take a step and get plugged in.
