One of our core values is Maximum Generosity, the giving of ourselves to God and others, fully with no expectation of exchange or return. Generosity is an act of love.
Jesus’ command to His followers – “freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8) is a call to a radical life, a life like His – to give of ourselves through kindness, time, attention and of our resources.
Over the next two years, we have an amazing opportunity through our lender, Christian Financial Resources, to buy down our mortgage through a 1 time, every 5 years re-amortization of our loan. This would allow us to do two things: 1) Reduce our debt and 2) Lower our monthly payments. This would transform our church by freeing up major resources for ministry and mission.
When we purchased our facility, our monthly payments went from $1,700/month to $7,000/month. Also, God’s Word tells us – “the borrower is slave to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7). We love our lender, but we don’t want to be enslaved to debt any longer than we must. We want to be financially free.
