Hope
But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. - Psalm 71:14
This week I was reminded of our need to have hope.
Hope is defined as...
- A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
- A person or thing that may help or save someone.
- Grounds for believing that something good may happen.
- A feeling of trust.
For those who follow Jesus, hope grows out of our relationship with Him. He is always faithful - no matter what I may face, I have hope because of Him. He is my source of hope.
Christmas is a great time to reflect on hope. Jesus came into the world for us; He loves us that much. He is always at work, and He will always come through.
The world can be very confusing, unsettling, discouraging and harsh. But it can also be filled with beauty and joy and we can experience it with hope as we follow Christ.
