It’s hard to believe that Christmas time is here. Just over a week away. This year it really has snuck up on me. Losing a week to Covid (not so good) and having a son getting married in a couple of weeks (awesome) have something to do with that.
Just over a week away… then we will come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Savior. What an amazing event. The Son of God, Himself, becoming one of us, to live like us, to experience life as one of us, so He could die for us, so we could live for Him and with Him – Amazing! Wonderful! Life-changing! History making! Forever worth celebrating!
The impact of the birth of Jesus is hard to put into words. The love of the Father in sending His Son for us is not easy to comprehend, but that’s okay because we don’t need to fully understand it to celebrate it. He did it. Love compelled Him. Grace flowed through Him. Truth filled Him. We simply get to enjoy Him and know Him and find salvation in Him and celebrate Him.
We live in a world so very different than the world that existed before Christ came. The Light invaded the darkness and overcame it. Hope and joy have permeated all we know as followers of Jesus because of His coming. His coming changed everything. He made a way for us to know the Way. What a privilege. What an opportunity. What a true gift. The Savior has come!
Christmas time is here. One more week to go. Anticipation is building. Joy is spreading. Time is moving. Christ is eternal! Merry Christmas!
