May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope is growing.
Life is returning.
Spring will arrive on Saturday, March 20 at 5:37am. I may have to wake up for that and experience the hope of a new season. Winter is almost over. With Spring comes life. The trees here are starting to reappear. Flowers are beginning to open up and unleash their color. Even the weather shows signs of better days ahead.
The world is starting to open up again and come alive after a long year. Each day the number of covid cases is dropping. Every day more and more people are getting vaccinated. There is news of restrictions being lifted soon - slowly and incrementally but lifted none the same. Students are returning to school, and many are actually looking forward to it. The year of Covid-19 may be coming to an end soon, and with this end will come a new beginning.
There is the beginning of something new. Something you can almost feel in the air. Hope is waking up and stretching its arms, the beginning of new days. Hope is no small thing but can start with small things like the beginning of a new day, the quiet time of a revolving planet turning toward the sun.
At the core of all hope is the God of all hope. Hope died for many on what is known as Good Friday but was reborn on Easter morn. The King returned to life and with Him the hope of resurrection for all who believe. We of all people should have hope.
I have hope that soon it will be time to reunite as a church. Being online has been lifesaving and hope giving for the year, but better yet will be the day when we can all gather and worship our Savior together again. We are not quite there yet, but the days are coming soon, and perhaps it won't be long, but the God of hope is always at work. He never stopped.
Today, my prayer is for you to have hope. There is a God who loves and cares for you. A God who takes us by the hand and walks us through years like this.
Hope is ours for the asking with the turning of a heart toward His, the reassurance of a God of Hope.
He is leading us through the end of the dark days.
He is taking us forward.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel - the light of the World.
Walk with Him today and feel the warmth of hope on your upturned face.
Christ is the reason for all the hope we have. A hope in Him changes every moment and every day into something new.
There is hope at the end of the tunnel as Jesus leads us through.
