Backpacks
Many of the children in our community are food insecure and not sure where their next meal is coming from. While they may receive food at school, the weekends are especially tough for them. That is where the BackPack program comes in, providing backpacks filled with 4 nutritious meals each weekend for them to eat.
Volunteers
Backpacks are packed each week and delivered to the school (Old Town Elementary.) Volunteers are needed to help each week. To volunteer, please contact Stacey Norris at stacey@bridgeschurch.net.
Donations
Each backpack costs approximately $5 each week. Financial donations are accepted to help offset this cost.
Clothes Closet
Operating during the same times as the Food Pantry, the BTG Clothes Closet offers gently worn clothes for the whole family at a very small cost. Everyone is welcome.
Donations: We are always seeking donations of new or gently owned clothes, shoes, coats and other accessories. All proceeds and financial gifts will help support the BTG ministries.
