A New Year is the start of New Beginnings. It’s one of the greatest things about changing years each January 1st, it feels like a fresh start. 

It’s an opportunity to review the past year and begin a new year with new hopes and changes for the better.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. - Isaiah 43:19 

The steadfast love of the Lord never cease; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:22, 23 

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. - Romans 6:4

We can look forward to a new year because… God is good, and everything He does is good, and everything will turn out for good. That is what God does.

It’s a New Year and a fresh start. That is what Jesus does for us. We are made new in Him.
