All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. - Acts 2:42 (NLT)
The early church did life together. They were together to learn and worship, to eat meals together and to pray. They were a community experiencing fellowship by supporting and encouraging each other, by being the light, and by creating a life-giving atmosphere defined by love.
Our goal this summer at Bridges is to create a similar environment, led by the Spirit, built around simply doing life together around tables and chairs, enjoying food and fellowship – meeting new friends and building on established relationships. It’s fellowship at its simplest – getting people together around food and conversation.
Most are BTOD (Buy Your Own Dinner) or BYOF (Bring Your Own Food). Stay as long as you want. Bring some friends. Introduce yourself. Get to know others. We are not reserving any of these places – just showing up to bless the restaurants too. Look to meet others there. Let the Spirit guide you.
I am excited and can’t wait to get started. The goals are to connect, to fellowship, to relate, & to have fun. Looking forward to a great summer.
